MinDA adapts the Mindanao Regional Scientific Meeting Resolutions

The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) and the Department of Science and Technology - Mindanao Cluster (MindaDOST), conducted a two-day Regional Scientific Meeting (RSM) at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Cagayan de Oro city last March 12-13, 2018.
The two-day Mindanao Regional Scientific Meeting has generated resolutions that were presented by Academician Rhodora V. Azanza, chair of the NAST Biological Sciences Division and Dr. Anthony C. Sales, chair of the MindaDOST to Dr. Janet M. Lopoz, undersecretary and executive director of Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and to Mr. Ruben A. Vegafria, board of trustee for Northern Mindanao, Mindanao Business Council (MBC).
UN-Funded STARBOOKS units deployed in Mati City

The school principals along with their IT personnel posed for a group photo after the successful MOU signing for the UN-funded STARBOOKS computer units that will be deployed in Mati City, Davao Oriental.
The DOST Region XI turned over 15 units of computer sets funded by the United Nations’ World Food Program (WFP) to schools and local government unit (LGU) last March 08, 2018 in Mati City, Davao Oriental.

Science for Change (S4C): Accelerated R&D Program for Capacity Building of Research and Development Institutions and Industrial Competitiveness
The DOST is now accepting proposals for the following programs:
Collaborative Research and Development to Leverage Philippine Economy (CRADLE) Program
The program encourages a synergistic relationship between the academe as producer of knowledge and manpower, and the industry as the entity which translates technologies to real world applications to generate new opportunities for Filipinos in the form of new industries, enterprises, jobs and solutions to pressing community and national problems. Under the CRADLE Program, the private sector industry will identify the problem; and the HEI or RDI will undertake the research and development, with funding from DOST.
