DOST XI through its Provincial S&T Center (PSTC) in Davao del Sur provided several S&T intervention to Prangel’s. These interventions include deployment of experts and consultants to check on their potential for export to make their products more competitive both in price and quality in the world market; training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) was given to the employees of Prangel’s; consultancy on plant layout and recommended improvement measures for immediate implementation; and provided one (1) unit cookies and cake depositor.
Before Prangel’s was provided with the equipment, they manually form cookies and small cakes which yields low production output and uneven product quality. With the provision of cookies and cake depositor, their production efficiency and product quality increased.Prangel’s now employs 30 from 16 from the start. Prangel’s can now produce new product lines since the equipment has different changeable nozzles which could form different shapes of cookies and small cakes.
Aside from the bakeshoppe, Prangel’s also ventured into restaurant business, snack inn and catering services. Currently, it has three market outlets located at Magsaysay St., Brgy. Cogon, and Bus Terminal - all located in Digos City, Davao del Sur.
