Iba na ang Panahon” is a two-pronged slogan that means, (1) Time (Panahon) has changed (Iba na) and (2) Climate (Panahon) Change (Iba). It is a two-day activity geared to respond to calamities and disasters that continually affect the country. It aims at arming the Local Government Units (LGUs) with knowledge and Science and Technology information materials and tools that will help communities prepare against natural calamities and disasters. Thus, every LGU from the provincial down to the municipal/city level will be oriented and directed in designing disaster preparedness plan before disasters occur.

A total number of 450 participants from the four provinces of Davao Region, and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) are expected to attend the said activity. These participants include the local government leaders, from governors to city and municipality mayors, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) program managers and officers, and member agencies of the academic and private sectors.
