The Department of Science and Technology Region XI (DOST XI) conducted a virtual information drive on June 25, 2021 to further promote and inform the public of the agency’s flagship program for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program or SETUP is a nationwide strategy encouraging and assisting MSMEs to adopt technological innovations that will improve their products, services, and operations while increasing their productivity and competitiveness.
Among the topics discussed during the activity were the priority sectors covered by the program, strategies to assist the enterprises, application requirements, and other details of SETUP.
“May this activity broaden your appreciation on how DOST can better serve you in improving your respective businesses. I sincerely hope that everyone gets the best out of this online activity,” DOST XI Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Division, Ms. Elsie Mae Solidum said.
Aside from SETUP, other DOST XI programs and services offered by the Technical Services Division (TSD), Technical Support Services Division (TSSD), and R & D for Development Innovation Division (ReDID) were also discussed to the participants.
The activity was held via Zoom application and was spearheaded by the DOST XI Regional Project Monitoring Team.
