DOST XI participates in ARENA XI Serbisyo Caravan

With the aim to make their services accessible to the people, the Department of Science and Technology Region (DOST) XI was one of the participating National Government Agencies during the Serbisyo Caravan led by Dr. Anthony C. Sales, Regional Director of DOST XI. The Serbisyo Caravan was held at Brgy. Upper Ulip, Monkayo, Compostela Valley Province last October 3 to 4, 2017.
An estimate of 4,000 residents of Brgy. Upper Ulip received a wide array of assistance and services from local government units, civic and non-government organizations and national government agencies.

Trailblazers in Science: Lecture Series by the National Scientists

The National Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines (NAST PHL) conducted a Lecture Series and Symposium for the Youth last October 3-4, 2017 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.
With this year’s theme for the Symposium and Lecture Series “Trailblazers in Science, Dir. Anthony C. Sales, Regional Director of DOST XI, highlighted and stressed the importance of this occasion during his welcome remarks: “We need to prepare you for what’s in store in the future. The very essence of this activity is for you to learn from them.”

DOST offers food processing technologies to the public

To those who are already in the food business or those mulling to venture in it, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has exactly the services you need.
On Nov. 15, the DOST-Industrial Technology Development Institute will share to the public some food processing technologies that people can avail themselves of through licensing and technical services. The activity is second in DOST-ITDI’s five-part 2017 ITDI Technology Offering series.

DRIEERDC: Geared Towards Harmonized R&D Agenda

Officials and representatives from member institutions attended the DRIEERDC Proposal Workshop and MOA Signing for the establishment of DRIEERDC.
The Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) in collaboration with Davao Region Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development Consortium (DRIEERDC) and DOST XI conducted a 2-day research & development proposal workshop last September 27-28, 2017 at the Ritz Hotel at the Garden Oases, Davao City.
